Learn how our company created history-making machine translation technology and how we plan to keep making history and serving our customers.
Dr. Peter Toma, founder of SYSTRAN, was born in Doboz, Hungary, in 1924. Believing world peace could be achieved through communication, Toma used his multilingual and computer programming abilities to make computerized translations.
This experiment in computerized translation later became SYSTRAN in 1968. Toma named it SYSTRAN for SYStem of TRANslation. That same year, SYSTRAN brought machine translation technology to the US Air Force, translating Russian documents to English. Thus began our history of innovating machine translation and improving communication worldwide.
Innovation
SYSTRAN was created to develop easier and more efficient communication methods, and that desire never left. We’re still looking for new ways to communicate.
Connectivity
Dr. Toma believed proper communication was the key to world peace. SYSTRAN still believes in this and wants to translate as many languages as possible.
Service
Our goal is to make communicating easier. With every customer’s success, we’re getting closer to universal machine translation solutions.
Neural machine translation (NMT) is a revolutionary approach to machine translation. Using an artificial neural network, NMT can predict the probability of a word sequence. SYSTRAN’s advanced solution can model entire sentences and leverage AI and MT technology to increase internal and external communication for businesses.
The SYSTRAN Partner Program enables partners to build and grow successful businesses while delivering ongoing and meaningful customer success.
